Attention parents! Now there is a Android SMS spy app intended for parents that wish to monitor the cell phone habits of their children. It is also extremely useful for employers monitoring usage of company issued smart phones, tracking the location of their delivery vehicles, finding lost cell phones, etc. The app captures incoming and outgoing call logs and text messages, as well as real time GPS location data. It then sends reports containing this information to your Gmail account at preset intervals.
The e-mail report provides you with the following information:
GPS Data: The e-mail report gives you GPS location data (latitude and longitude) of the monitored phone. If GPS is unavailable for any reason at that particular point in time, it will revert to GSM location data until GPS is available. GSM location data is not as accurate as GPS, but it will provide a general location until GPS becomes available.
GPS Snapshots: When you are setting up Cell Phone Spy, you can set pre-determined times (every hour, 2 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc) that you would like to save GPS snapshots. I recommend saving a snapshot every hour or 2 to get a good idea of where the phone has been on any given day.
Text Messaging History (SMS): The report includes a copy of all incoming and outgoing text messages. Other information, such as text message type (incoming or outgoing), date and time the text was sent or received, and phone number the text was sent to or from. It will also show you the name of the person that the text was to or from if that phone number is in the contacts on the target phone.
Voice Telephone Call History: The report also provides you with a complete log of all incoming and outgoing calls, including phone number (and name if in contacts), phone number, date, time, and duration of the voice call.
The instructions show you how to hide the icon so that the application is completely invisible to the user of the target phone. It gathers, saves, and sends this information in a report to any Gmail account at any time interval specified by you. Although you can use any Gmail account, it is recommended to establish a Gmail account that you can dedicate to Cell Phone Spy. You can then specify the interval at which it will send you the reports (every 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc). Once every 24 hours is a good number if you don't have an unlimited data plan. You also have the ability to send secret text messages to the target phone (without the target phone user even knowing) to have on-demand reports and live GPS location data sent to you instantly.
